After you create your gPotato account, you will be sent a confirmation email. After following the confirmation link, your account will be ready to be used. You can then use your gPotato account information to log in to Allods Online.
After you log in to Allods Online for the first time you will be presented with the primary character creation screen. Initially you must choose your faction as well as your archetype. After you have made the decision, click "Next" to proceed to the secondary character creation screen.

- Option to select an archetype available to the chosen race.
- Option to select a male or female character.

Choosing your archetype and your faction are the most important decisions when making a character. For more information about each faction you can check here
. For more information about each archetype you can check here
Other useful tools for creating your character are the option to equip or unequip your character's helm, and the option to equip or unequip all of your character's gear. You can also choose to use the randomize option which will generate a random character of the chosen race, archetype, and gender. These options are located on the bottom of the interface.
Once you've finished customizing your character to your liking, you need to input a character name that is between four and twelve letters long and click "Create". This will take you to the character selection screen where you can select your brand new character and enter Allods Online by clicking "Play".
On the character selection screen there are many options for managing your characters. Only players that are on the same server can interact with each other, and characters cannot be moved from one server to another. Make sure you choose your server carefully!
You can also delete existing characters on the character selection screen by clicking "Delete". You will then be asked to enter the character's name into the box that appears before you can delete the character. Deleting a character is permanent, so make sure you really want to delete a character before you click "Accept".
If you want to create additional characters, you can always create new ones by clicking "Character Creation". This will bring you back to the primary character creation screen. However, you will only be able to create up to eight characters on one server.
On the server selection screen there is a question mark at the bottom of left-hand side. Next to the question mark is listed the last server you were logged into. You can click the question mark to view more data of your recent login history. Viewing your login history will list your last logged in IP Address, server, character, and your login and logout date and time according to PST time. To view the current server time you can go to http://allods.gpotato.com/
The interface consists of the various pictures and words that are located around your screen. The interface can allow you to do many things in Allods Online, from interacting with other players to helping you control your character.
The character portrait shows the current status of your character. The top green bar is your health, the orange or blue bar below this is your energy or mana depending on the archetype that you are playing, and the third and final bar is your experience.
When you target a fellow player or NPC you can see their current target. For example, this player named Authorized is targeted, and he is targeting a player named ASAshkir_.
On the top right-hand side of your character portrait you will see an icon with one or two swords. Clicking on this icon will raise or lower your Flag of War. When your Flag of War is raised other players will be able to attack you, and you will be able to attack other players. When it is lowered other players will not be able to attack you. After lowering the flag, you must refrain from PvP combat for five minutes before it takes effect.
Clicking on another player will bring up their character portrait to the right of yours. If you right-click on the other player's portrait a drop down menu will appear that will allow you to interact with them in various ways. The different options include:

You can put your spells or frequently used items on the action bars at the bottom and sides of the interface. You can activate them by either left-clicking on them or pressing the corresponding hotkey. A hotkey is a button on your keyboard that will automatically execute the command it is tied to. Hotkeys can be remapped in the Hotkeys section of the Settings menu which can be accessed by pressing "ESC".
All spells will immediately be put onto your action bar when you first use them, and you can move them around by simply dragging them from one slot to another. You can also add spells or items to the action bars by dragging them from your Spellbook, bag, bank, or Character Info window to the desired location on an action bar. To remove a spell, simply drag the selected spell off the action bar.
The chat window is broken up into two parts, the general section and the combat log. The general section contains chat messages from other players and NPCs. They combat log contains messages about the spells and abilities that you and other players and NPCs have recently used.
You can customize the appearance of your chat window by clicking the exclamation point in the bottom left-hand corner of the window. In this menu you may change the font type, font size, lock or unlock the window, minimize the window, enable or disable the time stamp, enable or disable the spam filter, or clear all messages in the window.
If you choose to unlock your chat window, you may position it anywhere around the interface by clicking on the arrows in the top right-hand corner and dragging it to the desired location. You can also change the size of your window by clicking on and dragging the yellow triangle in the bottom right-hand corner.
For further customization, you can right-click the General tab in the chat window to bring up a menu that will allow you to choose which chat channels appear in the chat window. You can also change the color of the text that each channel is displayed in.
As you explore the world of Sarnaut you will notice many floating icons over the head of NPCs as well as around the corners of your interface. Each different icon represents a different type of NPC that you may interact with. For example, NPCs that give quests can be identified by yellow exclamation points, weapon and armor merchants can be identified by a shield and sword, and profession trainers have a pair of scissors floating over their head. You may turn these icons on and off with the drop down menu that appears when you click on the small arrow to the left of the compass.
The compass can be found in the top right-hand corner of the interface. If you move your mouse over the compass it will display the name of your current location. Clicking on the compass will bring up the world map. To the direct left of the compass is a small arrow. Clicking on the arrow will bring up a list of different options that you may track. When a choice is highlighted it means it is being tracked. Options that are being tracked will appear on your interface in the form of floating icons above the heads of NPCS as well small icons on the world map.
Active quests are tracked directly on the interface by the Quest Tracker. This is to help streamline the questing progress and make it so you can easily see the status of each quest you are on without having to repeatedly open up your Quest Log. To show or hide the Quest Tracker you can simply click the scroll at the top right-hand corner of the interface under the compass.
By clicking on the green star next to the scroll you will cause the quests for all zones to be displayed. This green star will then turn a blue color, which can be clicked again to cause the quests for only your current zone to be displayed. You can also press the large dash that is next to each quest title to hide the objectives of the quest.
The Social menu consists of your friend list, ignore list, guild list and guild info. It can be easily be accessed by pressing "G".
You can add players to the friend list by clicking "Add" and typing their name into the box that appears. Alternatively, you can also add players to your friend list by right-clicking on their character portrait and selecting the "Add to friend list" option. Players that are on your friend list will have their level and location listed and you will be notified when they log in and out.
You can add players to the ignore list by clicking "Add" and typing their name into the box that appears. You will not be able to see any messages that are sent by players on your ignore list.
The guild list shows a list of all of your guild members as well as their level and location. Additionally, the rank of each guild member is also shown. The lower the number the higher rank the rank a player is. The guild info displays your guild's information as well as your guild's message of the day.
You can open the world map by pressing "M" or by clicking the World Map button on the right tool bar. When you initially open the map it will show the zone you are currently in. To show another zone, choose the territory from the left drop down menu and the zone from the right drop down menu.

There are two ways that you can move in Allods Online. With WASD Movement, "W" will move you forward, "A" and "D" will cause you to strafe left and right, "S" will move you backward, "SPACEBAR" will cause you to jump, and "Q" and "E" will turn you left and right.
To use click-to-move you must first enable it in the Interface section of the Settings menu. Once it is enabled, left-clicking on any location will automatically move you to that location. Additionally, you may also left-click on an NPC or a player to automatically move you to them.
To move your camera hold down the left or right mouse button and rotate to view the world. Note that the only way to view your character from the front is to use hold down the left mouse button. The right mouse button will rotate your character in the direction the camera is rotating. To zoom in or out you may use your mouse wheel. You can also invert the y-axis of the game under the Interface section of the Settings menu if you choose.
Clicking on an NPC will cause their character portrait to appear to the right of yours. To interact with an NPC, such a quest giver, merchant, or archetype trainer, you must move close to them before clicking on them. A window with text and options will appear allowing you to read the NPC's message and select the option you desire. To stop talking to an NPC, simply walk away from them or close the text window by clicking the X in the top right-hand corner.
You will need to gather many items throughout your adventures in Sarnaut! Many quests require you to collect items from your surrounding environment, and in some professions such as herbalism you will need to gather crafting materials such as plants. To help you find gatherable items, you can make them light up by pressing "T". Once you find a gatherable item you can gather it by simply right-clicking on it.
You will also need to gather items that drop from NPCs that you have defeated. To gather the items you can right-click on the bag that appears near their corpse and then left-click on the items that appear. To successfully gather any items you must have open space in your bag.
There are several actions such as interacting with NPCs or gathering items that are called context actions. In Allods Online these actions can be completed by using special buttons on the interface that will appear between your two bottom action bars. They will appear if you are close enough to an NPC or item to interact with it, and can be executed by pressing "Z", "X", or "C".
There are two ways to use spells in Allods Online. You may right-click on any spell in your Spellbook or action bar. Your character will then begin using this ability. Spells do not automatically repeat once they have completed, so you will need to right-click on the spell to use it again.
Additionally, you may also use the hotkeys that correspond with each spell on the action bars. Once again, spells do not automatically repeat once they are completed, so you will need to continue to press the hotkeys to use each spell.
Most spells have cooldowns, which means that after they are used they cannot be used again for a certain period of time. Spells whose cooldowns are active will have a grayish color covering their icon. Once this cooldown has faded, you will be able to use the spell again.
Certain spells can be prepared in advance which will remain queued until you cast them. When you are ready, you can cast them by clicking the spell on your action bar or pressing the corresponding hotkey. Once you do choose to cast the spell that is queued, it will cast instantly and you will then need to begin casting your next spell. Beyond the one spell you may queue, most offensive spells may only be used while in combat while defensive spells can generally be cast out of combat.
You can also add spells or items to the action bars by dragging them from your Spellbook, bag, bank, or Character Info window to the desired location on an action bar. To remove a spell, simply drag the selected spell off the action bar.
As you level you will automatically learn certain spells and abilities which will help you become more powerful. However, to make sure you are as strong as you can be, you will need to allocate talent points as well as use rubies into your talent tree and talent grids. To access the talent tree and talent grids click the Talents button on the left tool bar, or simply press "N".
Sometimes spending talent points or rubies will simply give you a higher rank of a spell or ability you already know. However, sometimes you will be able to learn entirely new spells or abilities. Spells and abilities you have already learned can be found in your Spellbook by clicking the Spellbook button on the right tool bar or by pressing "P".
Allods Online has a built in screenshot function that will allow you to take a picture of everything on your screen in-game. You may even remove the interface to take cleaner and nicer looking screenshots by pressing "ALT-Z". Once you have the screen set up the way you want, you may press "SCROLL LOCK" or "PRINT SCREEN" to take a screenshot.
Screenshots are automatically stored in the Screenshots folder which can be found at C:\gPotato.com\Allods Online\Personal\Screenshots. Screenshots are automatically saved as JPGs.
