A Response from the Allods Team

Over the last two months Gala-Net and Astrum Nival have been working extremely hard towards the launch of Patch 1.1.0.

We realize that players have had some concerns with the patch, and we wanted to let everyone know that we’ve read all of the feedback and that we are listening. We are proactively working with the developers and discussing how player suggestions could be integrated into future versions of Allods.

We know that players are most concerned about the cursed items, incense, and the leveling experience. We acknowledge that these changes may be unappealing to some players because they require players to use items that originate from the Item Shop, and players now feel that buying Item Shop items are necessary.

However, we want to assure you that the game has not become Pay-to-Play or Pay-to-Win. At the core of Allods you can still enjoy the game without ever having to worry about spending money. Yes, Holy Charms, Incense, and Scrolls of Purification are only offered through the Item Shop, but they can be purchased from other players and the auction house. It’s important to reiterate the fact that in order to play Allods, no game purchase is required and we do not ask for credit card information in order for you to play. We assure you that the majority of active Allods players do not pay a dime and are still able to experience everything the game has to offer.

With that said, Patch 1.1.0 is a critical building block for Allods Online. This was confirmed with a conversation we recently had with Astrum Nival where they stated that, “Patch 1.1.0 is a major turning point for Allods Online.” This patch makes significant strides towards improving various aspects of the game such as rebalancing classes and introducing players to the zone of Gipat.

Allods Online is a growing game with a very strong and passionate community. Without your support and dedication this game would not be as successful as it is now. Changes made are not short-sighted. Much of what is implemented introduces the framework for upcoming patches to build an even more engaging and enjoyable game for the players.

Change is part of every MMO. Mechanics are altered, classes are rebalanced, and new features are introduced. We hope that you join us on this amazing journey as the game continues to grow and reach new heights.
