The Allods Team is proud to announce that Patch 2.0.04 is on its way! There are a lot of exciting new features coming that will enhance your current gameplay experience, one of them being a blast to the past with a twist! For our first preview, we’ll be covering the reincarnation system!

Reincarnation!

Players who reach level 46 and complete a series of trials will be able to go through a reincarnation ritual to create an alternate character of another archetype. Only one incarnation is allowed per level 46 character.

Your progenitor and your incarnation will share the following features:

  • all of the items in the Item Shop tab of your bag
  • all bonuses gained from items that come from Radiant Strongboxes
  • your mounts
  • your bag size
  • your deposit box size
  • your runes
  • the duration remaining on your patron’s blessing
  • your gold
  • some of the items in your Currency tab
  • your Astral ship

This means that these items will not need to be re-purchased on your alternate character, and instead access is given from the progenitor to the incarnation for FREE. No purchasing two sets of bags, no spending gold to buy mounts or mount feed from the auction house for two characters, etc.

Preparing for the Reincarnation Ritual:
Once you are level 46 you can visit Veronika Gipitskaya in the Director’s Citadel on the Isle of Revelation to begin your preparations for the reincarnation ritual. Once the preparations are complete, it’s time to choose your incarnation by visiting a Reincarnation Master!

Reincarnation Masters:

You can visit Julie de Doucer in Novograd or Sarang Betrest in Nezegrad for all of your reincarnation needs. These NPCs offer the following services:

1. Switch between your progenitor and your incarnation.
2. Create your incarnation.
3. Permanently delete your incarnation.
4. Learn a shared ability from your progenitor or your incarnation.
5. Choose to play with the Reincarnated effect or play without Reincarnated effect.

Choosing Your Incarnation:

When you choose to create an incarnation you’ll be automatically taken to a special character creation screen. Your incarnation must be the same faction, a different archetype, and have a different name. On the special character creation screen you can also view the shared abilities that will be available to your progenitor and your incarnation.

Once you create an incarnation you will start off at level 4 and appear on Evermeet Isle or in the Sewers.

Reincarnation Selection Interface:

This is the interface where you can switch between your progenitor and your incarnation. To play as either your progenitor or your incarnation you can simply select the one that you are not currently playing as and click “Reincarnate”. Switching between your progenitor and your incarnation will cost gold each time it is done. Upon reincarnating you will be logged out, at which point you can select the chosen reincarnation and log back in.

By default, incarnations have their progenitors’ names shown to all other players. However, this option can be turned off by selecting “Reincarnate anonymously” so others will not know who an incarnation’s progenitor is.

You can also permanently delete an incarnation, allowing you to create a new incarnation. However, be aware that this deletion is permanent so DO NOT delete your incarnation unless you are sure that is what you want to do.

Leveling as Incarnation:
Incarnations will only be able to gain experience when they are affected by the Reincarnated effect. This effect will decrease your damage dealt and healing done by 33% and decrease your experience earned for your current level by 10% when you die.

Incarnations can visit the Reincarnation Master to remove this effect, allowing them to be more effective in combat but preventing them from earning any experience.

If you intend to engage in a lot of PvP action or journey to a difficult dungeon, it might be a good idea to temporarily remove the Reincarnated effect so you can be at full power!

Shared Abilities:
Both your progenitor and your incarnation will be able to access one out of two possible shared abilities. These shared abilities are dependent upon the archetypes of your progenitor and your incarnation.

Your incarnation can immediately use the shared abilities of your progenitor, while your progenitor must wait until your incarnation reaches level 45 before it can use the shared abilities of your incarnation. You can freely switch between the two possible shared abilities by talking to the Reincarnation Master.

Is that a mage using a warrior’s Charge?! Yes it is!

Is that an Orc using Choke?! Yes it is!
