This week’s guild spotlight is with the guild Pheonix! We have the guild leader, Gwynell, here to tell us more about the guild.

Guild: Pheonix
Server: Nezeb
Faction: League
Can you give us a little history about Pheonix?
Pheonix was originally formed by the warden Cymera and his senior officers in late 2010. The majority of members were below level 20 and still learning about the mechanics of Allods Online. Eventually, Cymera was called away by real life obligations and left the guild in my care. The rest is history – we worked extremely hard at leveling ourselves, helping members with quests, increasing the guild level, recruiting promising players, and never looked behind.
Where most young guilds would collapse under the pressure and subsequently fail, Pheonix thrived in the face of adversity. Instead of succumbing to the absence of the guild creator and leader, we just persevered and believed in the direction we were taking the guild, and that has been our mantra ever since. Due to all the hard work we have jumped from a fresh-faced, no-named guild into one of the best League guilds on Nezeb server.
What are the people of Pheonix like?
Where can I start? I would never be able to do them justice with only a paragraph, but to start off they are extremely warm, kind, helpful, humorous, and fun-loving people. Many of them will take the time out of their own schedule to help players struggling with quests or give advice to new players with questions about the game. It has been jokingly said that Pheonix is the “romantic comedy” of guilds because we are fun-loving, hilarious, and have an unusually high ratio of real life couples in our guild. The casual, relaxed nature of our members is reflected onto the guild itself, and we have a lot of students, workers, parents, and couples who are very active but are not hardcore progression gamers. This makes our membership and guild a very flexible and adaptable one.
What are the goals of Pheonix? Are you a casual PvE guild? Hardcore PvP? Raiding?
Pheonix is a casual end-gaming (both PvE and PvP) guild with emphases on fun and community camaraderie. We are not solely focused in gear obtainment or progression which leads many to find us too relaxing and laid-back. It is not because we are uninterested in improving and strengthening ourselves, but because we believe material things such as gear should be a means to an end, not the be-all end-all to everything.
On the contrary, we are extremely active in all aspects of endgame content: Astral Confrontation, Melting Isle, Arena of Death, heroics, Astral heroics, Astral sailing, Genoer, and currently getting ready for Gorluxor’s Tower. The biggest belief we have is that this game should be a fun experience and we try not to make the game turn into any type of job or serious responsibility.
How would one go about joining Pheonix? Are you accepting applications? What are your recruiting criteria?
Yes, we are currently accepting applications and if anyone is interested in joining Pheonix, we would love to welcome them to our guild website, www.allodspheonix.freeforums.org, and encourage them to check out the recruitment section.
Of the eight classes, the ones we are most in need of are warriors, paladins, psionicists, mages, and healers. We have a general level requirement of 30+, however we are a very flexible and understanding guild and we have no qualms with accepting anyone under level 30 as long as they are reasonably active,friendly/positive, show good promise, and are willing to complete guild dailies.
What do you see in Pheonix’s future in Allods Online?
I believe that Pheonix has already become one of the best League guilds on the Nezeb server and we will only improve upon that. Our goal is to complete all the endgame content on our own terms, at our own pace, while answering to no one and having the most awesome fun possible with our friends while doing it!
We are in a war and Pheonix will be a loyal, staunch, and tenacious defender of the League. Long live the League, and long live Pheonix! Like the Pheonix, the bird of rebirth and flame, we will rise from the ashes and fires of destruction, born anew and shine with unsurpassed splendor!
If you’re part of a guild and you would like to have your guild in the spotlight, please have your guild leader email us with information about your guild at allods_community@gala-net.com!

It's been so long, we have been wondering what you have been up to and we have missed you! So happy to hear you're coming back! Obviously hospital work has taken higher priority, more important than a game. ^_^
Can't wait to catch up with you, the guild has changed a lot! In a good way! :P |

Gratz guys and gals, well deserved. I should be back in 2 weeks when clinicals are over, haven't played since mid-july and can't wait to get back in. Great group of people with much diversity that can come together and work as a team. |

Wow. Of all the guild spotlights, I actually like this one. Very well organized, and just well-grammared. Nice picture as well ^^ Very creative.
To those who apparently are spelling nazis:
It doesn't matter whether the guild's name is misspelled or whatever. It's the people in a guild that matters most and working together to be successful etc. Guilds have their reasons regarding their guild names. Instead of jumping the gun, all everyone could do is simply ask.
I'm not even from the Nezeb server and I give double thumbs up!!

Yes, the spelling of "Pheonix" was intentional and was both a stylized and practical decision since there was already a Phoenix guild and we did not want to have mistaken associations.
@King: I did not mention the merger of DS with Pheonix because we do not differentiate members who were originally with the guild and those who came from others. As for the actual impact of the merger itself, only about 3 people from that guild are still with Pheonix. I love them to death, but to say it was the most important thing that shaped Pheonix is a gross exaggeration, Pheonix was already successful prior to the merger and actually the reason DS decided to merge was due to our guild success. I am sorry if you feel disrespected. |

Yes, it's misspelled. There was another Phoenix on Tensess, so Cymera named the guild Pheonix instead, so there was no confusion. Problem? |

Just wondering, but why is your guild spelled Pheonix, instead of the correct spelling, Phoenix? Was it a stylized decision, or a typo? |

I see nothing here about Mergin with Dragon Slayers. That was the most important thing that shaped Pheonix. I think you should have some respect and mention that at least. |
