In addition to all the new features coming out with New Horizons, we’ll also be seeing improvements to existing features and events, too. You may notice a few changes the next time the Tropcial Atoll makes it’s trip around!
The Tropical Atoll has been fitted with all new vanity items and even a new mount! There are now 3 different types of Tropical Gifts at the atoll: Moonlit Summer Gifts, Sunny Paradise Parcels, and Tropical Presents.
All three gifts have a chance to contain the common bugs, fruits, and crab treats that are needed for some of the activities on the atoll, but they have new vanity items as well. Each gift may contain one of several new potions that will turn you into a tropical creature for a short while. Chill by the water as a frog or crab, or scare your friends as a crocodile! And unlike many other vanity disguises, as a crab you can run around and even /dance!
In addition to the Sunny Steed which is still available, vacationers can also find a new Sunwolf mount!
Moonlit Summer Gift
The Moonlit Summer Gift is a prize for completing the Athletic Competition quest, which has has changed a little. It no longer offers Special Gold Coins, but instead rewards 2x Moonlit Summer Gifts for completing it in the first half of every hour, or 1x Moonlit Summer Gift for completing it in the last half of every hour. Additionally, you can now participate in the race up to 3 times every hour, instead of 5 times daily.
These gifts can also be obtained from doing Karah-Oki.
