[Event] Wanted! Master’s Guardians

Sunday, April 21 2013 - 5:19 AM
by piopico

allods online guardian master mmo

From the first days of Lords of Destiny, Nihaz has been bored. The adventurers ran to Tep’s Pyramid, eager to fight a new evil spirit, and those who dare to come back to his Dead City for an adrenaline rush are rare indeed. And to be honest, his minions (or favorite victims) are becoming tiresome with their threats of revenge… Nihaz is really, really bored and he doesn’t like it. At all!

So, in order to rid himself of this feeling he thought he would play a trick on his servants, the Master’s Guardians! To determine their cunning and ability to act in a new environment, he sent them accross the allods to see who would be the one to come home first. But so far, no one has showed up in the Isle of the Revelation! Regardless of whether they are completely lost, or simply need some space from their Master, Nihaz needs YOU! It will be your task to find the servants every day so that Nihaz can put them back where they belong!

From Monday, April, 22th until Friday, April, 26th find the Master’s Guardians across the allods!

- Every day, we will announce on our Official Twitter Page that we have hidden the Guardian. Don’t worry, we will give you a clue to his location so you know where to look! Be sure to be thourough in your search!

- When you find the Guardian, take a screenshot of him next to your avatar (so we know it’s you!) and tweet it to our page.

What are the rules?

- Follow our Allods Online Twitter account.

- Keep an eye on our Twitter page, as the announcement can happen anytime!

- Once you have an idea of where the Guardian is, run to the zone, and take a screenshot of your character with him!

- Participants not sending the screenshots or the hashtag #allods won’t be counted, so make sure you include them.

- One win is allowed per account for the duration of the event! So no reincs please!

- The first 5 to tweet from each faction will win the prizes!

[Event] Doublin’ PioPico!

Monday, April 15 2013 - 2:18 PM
by piopico

Now that I’m getting more settled in my new home (rainy land of Ireland), it’s time for a fun event that’ll show you some of the local sights while letting you have some exploration! For this event, you will need a camera (or phone with camera), two legs, and a good sense of direction with your IRL (in real life) surroundings.

I thought it would be fun to show some of the local sights around the city while making a copycat event out of it. With that said, I will show 5 pictures of myself at specific locations around Dublin. You must find close locations around where you live IRL and take a picture of yourself at the same type of location for all/any of the 5 pictures.

Of all the copycat entries, I will choose my favorite picture from each of the 5 types of photos that I have shown, and award the owner of the picture with 1,500 Premium Crystals!

This means you don’t have to copy each of the 5 pictures since it’s understandable that some of you may have not easy access to the same IRL settings, but it will increase your chances of winning since you have more entries that could be the winning photo of that photo type.

Rules:

1. Photos #1 – #5 will be posted everyday from Monday – Friday on Allods Online Twitter

• Photo #1 – Monday April 15
• Photo #2 – Tuesday April 16
• Photo #3 – Wednesday April 17
• Photo #4 – Thursday April 18
• Photo #5 – Friday April 19

2. Once you see the picture tweeted, you must find a nearby location in real life that is similar to the setting shown in the photo. With a camera (it’ll help to have someone take the picture of you), have your picture taken that mimics the setting. IMPORTANT – Make sure you hold up your hand and give a “thumbs up” so we know it’s actually you in the picture or else your entry will not count.

3. Retweet the daily tweet with a link to your picture, write your character’s name & server, and include the following hash tags – #allods, #Doublinpio

4. Each photo of a particular setting will be judged against other photos of that same setting. For example, a picture of you in a park will be judged against other pictures of players in a park. This setup makes it fair for those who are not capable of taking pictures at each of the 5 locations.

5. You have throughout Sunday, April 21st to retweet any of your entries. One retweet per each / any of the 5 picture entries. Winners will be announced on Monday, April 22nd.

Prizes:
Of all the copycat entries, I will choose my favorite picture from each of the 5 types of photos that I have shown, and award the owner of the picture with 1,500 Premium Crystals!

Have fun doublin’ PioPico and enjoy pictures of PioPico around Dublin, Ireland!

Remember, you can only participate in this event if you follow our Allods Online Twitter. If you have not joined the Allods Online Twitter yet, now is the time!

Furry up for the Gibberling Festival!

Friday, April 12 2013 - 7:58 AM
by piopico

Warning: The following announcement may be hazardous to an Orc’s mental health

Every so often a special time arrives in Sarnaut, one of fur, fun, more fur, some rage, even more fur and the sight of the occasional drunken Gibberling family asleep in the streets of Novograd. It’s a tradition that dates back to the initial treaty between the Kanians, the Elves and the Gibberlings, one that safeguarded the most sacred of Gibberling customs, the random festival where they get drunk and wear silly outfits! We’re talking of course about the Gibberling Festival!

Yes, it’s that time of year where we celebrate the most beloved (kinda) of Sarnautian races with their very own festival! So what’s in store for the streets of Novograd and the fields of Lightwood? Well from Monday, April 15th, until April 24th, we’re going to be making every Gibberlings’ time in Allods Online an extra special one!

As we all know from our Sarnautian history classes, the Gibberlings are adventurous little people, their inquisitive nature often landing them in trouble. But this side of them has also led to some of the most important discoveries, namely falling off an allod in a fishing boat and realising that they, and us, could float in the astral! And from this simple accident the Gibberlings have spread across the entire astral, in search of fun, danger and nice shiny things. Well each year the most daring of our furry little friends return to Novograd with a wealth of stories and sackfuls of their most prized treasures.

To celebrate their race, they happily offer these to any Gibberling with Special Holiday Coins to use through the Holiday Committee, found in Novograd itself!

So whether you’re a Brawler, an Animist, a Trickster or a Seer now is your time to shine in some fancy Gibberling costumes! But that’s far from all, as you will also have the chance to gain a special Bagpipe emote ability that will make you into your very own One Man Band!! Well a Three Gibberling Band I guess….so a regular band I suppose….it’s the Gibberling festival!!

So to snag these amazing Gibberling outfits, and to learn the bagpipes, you simply need to be a Gibberling and take your Anniversary Coins to one of the Holiday Committee representatives around Novograd! For you League playing, non-Gibbs out there we have some good news too, the Gibberlings will be able to put all of the outfits up for auction in Auction House! So you too can celebrate the most important, tiny creatures in all of Sarnaut in style!

Festive Gibberling Headgear: Can be traded or auctioned

Stylish Gibberling Headgear: Can be traded or auctioned

Festive Gibberling Outfit: Can be traded or auctioned

Stylish Gibberling Outfit: Can be traded or auctioned

Bagpipes: Bound, can only be used by the Gibberlings

But what of the Orcs and the rest of the Empire? Well don’t worry, because Yasker has been known to throw a good party or two in his time. Knowing him like you do you can be sure that he will take note of these festivities and plan a gala of perhaps even greater size for his troops! Be sure to keep an eye on upcoming events in Nezebgrad to find out exactly what he has planned!

For now though it is the League’s time to celebrate! Elves and Kanians should be aware that any accidents that befall them at this time due to drunken Gibberling behaviour will not be brought before the Novograd City Council, they fear the wrath of a Gibb on too many cocktails just as much as you do!

The Gibberling festival runs from Monday, April 15th until April 24th, so don’t miss out on picking up your own set of bagpipes and a stylish outfit to match!

[Event] It’s Time to Celebrate Uar!

Tuesday, April 09 2013 - 7:50 AM
by piopico

Each of the Twelve Martyrs are great in their own way as they fill their chosen ones with blessings to help them on their journeys through Sarnaut. We use their protective abilities, they help us regenerate after a long, hard battle and they offer guidance to those who seek it. So let’s celebrate them individually! Each Patron should have their own designated holiday in which their worshipers can benefit of their blessing and offer up even more prayer to the great Martyrs!

From April 10th until May 10th, all those born under the sign of Uar will celebrate their patron and receive their blessings for 20 days!

For those of you asleep during history classes in Nezebgrad and Novograd, here’s a brief overview of the Great Martyrs:

Men and women on these allods are never alone. They are protected by the blessing of a mysterious set of powers, called the Great Martyrs.

Shortly after the Great Cataclysm, the Magi began to notice strange events of the original magic. Although their appearance seemed to coincide with the Astral invasion, their precise nature remained a mystery for many years. While the Astral was known to have a magical influence on Allods and all their inhabitants, 12 special magical auras were discovered, each with unique properties and characteristics.

Over the centuries, experiments were conducted on these forces. It was discovered that each inhabitant of Allods could perform a ritual to seek protection from one of these magical auras, but for a long time the nature and origin remain shrouded in mystery.

So what better way to celebrate a patron than by praying to it extra hard during it’s holiday season? That doesn’t mean we want you to rush out to the Deserted Farm on a one man mission to end up in purgatory for a 24 hour period! We want you to fight with honor and courage, slay as many enemies as possible, and give thanks to Uar afterwards!

How can you take advantage of these benefits? Just log in to your character with Uar’s symbol, and enjoy the FREE 20 days blessing! It’s that simple!

Update on Recent Server Downtime

Thursday, April 04 2013 - 7:33 AM
by piopico

Hello Citizens of Sarnaut!

You may have experienced periodic downtime over the past several days where it was not possible to log in the game. Our teams have been investigating the issue ever since it started and we are happy to announce that the login bug has been squashed! There were some backend technical issues that created the roller coaster effect although measures have been put in place that should prevent similar issues from happening in the future.

With this speed bump put behind us now, we apologize for the inconvenience and we appreciate the community banding together to report these type of anomalies.

For the downtime experienced, please enjoy Lucky Moments this weekend (Saturday, April 6th – Sunday, April 7th). Use the boosts to enhance your character’s experience, reputation, and guild prestige!

Celebrate Nature with the Spring Festival!

Wednesday, March 20 2013 - 11:19 AM
by piopico

The Night of the Astral Portals is remembered for many as a dire event where many soldiers of the League and Empire lost their lives fighting back against the surprise invasion of the Astral demons on Kirah. While both factions were fighting for control of this allod, portals opened, leading to an unprecedented assault by the Astral demons in which many of the Great Mages were killed and many soldiers swallowed by earthquakes! Yasker and Eniel, the leaders of the Empire and League at the time, gathered their forces in order to save what they could of their troops before the land was utterly destroyed.

It was the day on which both sides put aside their differences, and joined forces against a common enemy: the Astral demons.

The Spring celebrations isn’t only about the blossoming flowers and gentler season, it is about an event which has to be remembered by everyone in Sarnaut!

From March, 21st until April 20th, take part in the Spring Festival in Allods Online!

In order to congratulate the men and women of your faction who fought valiantly against our common enemies, you will have to meet Crazystorm the Merciless underneath Yasker Tower, or Izbor Yavorsky on the top of Aidenus Tower! Our generals will appoint you to a special mission, to cheer the mood of the opposite gender for this amazing month!

Offer cards, carnations, and Spring invitations to men and women in order to get them into the fun spirit!

If you manage to accomplish their quests, enough to obtain a special reputation or to receive a gift from the Spring chest, you will be rewarded and more importantly, granted the permission to speak with Klara Tsvetkova in the Old Square of Nezebgrad, and the Delightful Family in the Main Square of Novograd, to buy seasonal goods!

The ladies will suggest several items for your fashion and fun needs!

Have a look below at a selection of the items available from these characters:

Spring Helm

Sapphire Circlet

Emerald Circlet

Spring Outfit

Young Sproutling

Blossoming Flower

Emerald Vine

Sapphire Wings

Dress up for the season, and cheer your comrades in town to celebrate the day the League and the Empire united their forces!

As a preview of the accessories is always best for our fashionistas, have a sneak peek at the spring outfits and articles!

Sapphire Circlet, Spring Costume and Sapphire Wings worn by the adorable Julia

Young Sproutling & Emerald Vine arbored by Julia again

Cameron is rocking the Spring Helm and the Sapphire Wings, coupled with the Spring Costume!

Although the Bundle of Spring Trinkets can be exchanged, the other accessories available through the NPC are bound to the character.

Blossom during the Spring festival, and remember the great day that Sarnaut united together from the 21st of March until the 20th of April!

[Event] Pimp My Build – Lords of Destiny Edition!

Friday, March 15 2013 - 10:18 AM
by piopico

Lords of Destiny has opened up fresh adventures across all of Sarnaut as our heroes wage epic battles in the new territories and Astral islands! With fresh faces joining the war against and enemy factions and the gods, we would like to introduce you to the grand event, Pimp My Build!

Leveling your character is a special experience, and through the changes brought by the updates, players might feel a little disorientated. Fantastic improvements have been made to the classes with the introduction of new spells. The best way to explore the full potential for your class, whether you’re a new or old player, is by sharing information and helping out friends. This is also the most fun way to learn and for that reason, we are hosting this special event!

Without further adieu, we bring the community together to announce “Pimp my Build – Lords of Destiny Edition!”

Rules:

1) Go to the Official Forum – Archetypes section and find your character’s class.
2) Introduce yourself; your character’s name; guild; the role you have in the party; and why you like the class’ gameplay.
3) Explain the changes brought by the latest updates; how it modified your build; and how did you adapt the changes to your style.
4) Your build: What type of build is it (PVE, PVP, Raid, Hybrid, which specialization). Also, what spells and rubies you chose and why.
5) How do you play your class now, what you like & dislike like about it.
6) Players can post only one guide for each class

For a few tips on how you should approach this contest, simply think of what you would look for in a guide to your class if you were a completely new player to Allods Online. Be clear and use language that is understandable; make it stand out from the crowd as best you can (think of layout and including images); give all the information you think is necessary (especially how the class has changed recently) and, of course, originality always goes a long way with our jury!

This event will officially start today, March 15th, and will finish on March, 27th (included).

After this date the Allods Online team will put together scorecards for our Player Run Judging Panels and they will each individually score every build for the class they are marking. This will allow us to gather average scores for each entry! To provide you with a little extra boost for this event we’re also going to give away these fantastic prizes:

Prizes

1st – 5,000 Premium Crystals
2nd – 4,000 Premium Crystals
3rd – 3,500 Premium Crystals

*3 winners per archetype*

Remember that you can only get certain exclusive mounts with Premium Crystals, but keep in mind that when you do use Premium Crystals in the Item Shop that those items become character bound, so be sure to know which of your fearless fighters you want to have the items on before using them!

To post your guide, use one of the nine categories below on the official forum:

Warrior, Warden, Summoner, Healer, Paladin, Scout, Psionicist, Mage, Bard

Feel free to participate, either by publishing your build or commenting, and discussing in your comrades’ topics!

Celebrate Yasker’s Birthday!

Friday, March 08 2013 - 8:19 AM
by piopico

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

A special tradition has been instilled in the Empire’s faction. Kids train themselves to sing the national anthem, the city council is busy cleaning the city and putting up Nezebgrad’s flags, and the security has been tightened around the capital! What could be the reason for this commotion? A naked Orcs’ race? A massive Arisen experiment? Or simply… Yasker’s Birthday?

Our dear faction leader is turning… Well, we don’t have enough fingers to count his real age (and he may eliminate us for telling you), but the Empire’s citizens will celebrate his special day, and with gusto!

From Monday, March the 11th, until Wednesday, March the 20th, be the guests of Yasker’s birthday!

Yasker is proud to say he doesn’t have the basic tastes of his nemesis, Aidenus. For Empire, to lead is an honor and not an excuse to bring decadence, so the party has to follow the greatness of its representant: it has to be organized with solemnity and pride.

And yes, there may be drinks. Hush though, you don’t want the Gibberlings crashing the party!

Although no League soldiers will be allowed to celebrate this day, Xadaganians, Orcs and Arisens will be able to pay their respects to their favorite leader, and get some useful items in the process!

Meet the Holiday Committee members in order to get the following items:

Image and video hosting by TinyPic
Gramophone: Switch on the Gramophone for 1 minute to listen to a classic tune!

Image and video hosting by TinyPic
Jar of Cucumbers: Take 5 pickles from the jar. (The Jar disappears after 7 days)

Image and video hosting by TinyPic
Pickled Cucumber: Restores your health out of combat, and increases your Stamina for 45 minutes. (The Pickle disappears after 24 hours)

Image and video hosting by TinyPic
Wheat Liquor: Pour a bottle of liquor into five glasses! (The bottle disappears after 7 days)

Image and video hosting by TinyPic
Glass of Liquor: Restores the mana out of combat and increases your Willpower for 45 minutes. (The glass disappear after 24 hours)

Thankfully, you can sell or exchange these items with your imperial peers to expand the party in the battlefield!

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

Yasker’s day is special, so save this memorable picture of your leader listening to his favorite Billy Holidorc song while planning an Astral wide attack on the League.

Birthday happens only once a year, so don’t hesitate! Get these exclusive items and show some love to your chief until the 20th of March!
