Sunday, November 25 2012 - 6:41 PM
by piopico

As more and more guilds gear up to face the horrors that await in Allods’ endgame dungeon, Dead City, it’ll help to get more in-depth raid strategies about some of the challenges. And that’s just what you’ll get this coming Monday to start off our week!

Beau from Massively is teaming up with Citizenkane and Ascendancy guild to stream what goes on in a guild raid through this endgame action. You’ll get the inside scoop on general raiding strategies for Dead City as well as listen in on some of the guild dialogue that goes on during an organized raid.

The stream will take place this Monday, November 26th at 6 PM PST (9 PM EDT)

Despite having an organized raid, anything can happen during a guild’s livestream so you’ll want to check out what challenges the 24 players face and how they handle the dangers thrown at them.

You can check it out at the time listed above on Massively TV with the link below!

Ask the Developers a Question!

Wednesday, November 14 2012 - 10:17 AM
by piopico

As Allods Online continues to grow, we are sure our community has lots of questions about the game’s future development or questions about existing in-game features.

We have a special holiday treat for our Allods community that will extinguish those burning questions that you may have!

The developers, Mail.RU Games, will answer the top questions collectively from all regional communities of Allods Online.

This means we need NA Allods to represent! Here is your chance to ask the developers any question.

Please post any questions in this forum thread . Also be sure to keep all questions constructive as that’s the best format to help your question be chosen by the developers to answer.

We’ll include all past questions that the community asked before although with new patch updates since then, we want to hear any new questions you want to ask the developers of Allods Online.

Now let’s see those questions!

Scout Holiday

It’s time to celebrate Scouts!

This is the time of year when Scouts celebrate the Silent Days – days set aside to go hunting in the wilderness with their apprentices to practice their scouting abilities.

The Holiday Committee recognizes this holiday as well and their officials in Novograd and Nezebgrad will gladly offer Scouts unique vanity items in exchange for Special Holiday Coins.

Scouts can purchase one of four vanity items. Vanity items offer no stats and are equipped in the extra vanity slots at the bottom of your character screen. They replace or add their own appearance over the armor you are wearing.

Scout vanity helm and costume.

Scout vanity back.

Scout vanity back.

In addition to these vanity items, Scouts can purchase a consumable Potion of Disguise that will grant them a temporary disguise buff to help them blend in with their surroundings.

Scout vanity back.

These fun items can be traded to other players but can only be purchased by Scouts during this holiday. We hope you enjoy these new items and look forward to more events celebrating the diverse classes, races, and professions of Sarnaut.

Thanks to everyone who was part of our raid and it was lots of fun taking down the M4-U23 boss. With two skirmishes during the stream, we improved and blasted down the boss on our second attempt faster! Now that’s teamwork!

Patch 3.05 Preview: Summerhold

Thursday, October 25 2012 - 10:55 AM
by shockpix

Sarang Panzer

Patch 3.05 is bringing a new kind of skirmish to the queue: Summerhold. Unlike the other skirmishes available to players, Summerhold is not a PvP objective and instead requires players to work together to take the enemy down as fast as possible in vehicle-based combat.

• Summerhold •

Map of Summerhold

Summerhold was an abandoned village that was being used by the Empire as a facility to test and manufacture new combat vehicles. They had success in the creation of the M4-U23, an enormous fortified construct capable of devastating attacks and near-impossible to breach defenses.

Unfortunately, it wasn’t far into their celebration that a goblin worker at the facility had fallen into the cockpit of the M4-U23 while polishing its plating. Stricken with the realization of the power in his hands he began his fight for a goblin revolution by opening fire on the scientists and engineers.

Now the Ex-Leader of the M4-U23 project, Sarang Panzer, is requesting assistance to take this rogue goblin down before he destroys the facility.

• Skirmish •

Summerhold consists of one team of 12 that must coordinate by using their vehicles to assist each other with taking down the M4-U23 within an hour.

There will be a short preparation period where players can join the game and take a look at the different vehicles at their disposal. Once the M4-U23 begins moving though, the fight begins! The M4-U23 will slowly make its way towards chests of supplies along the road. Your objective is to prevent the M4-U23 from destroying as many chests as possible – the more chests that are saved, the more medals you will receive.

• Vehicles •

Heavy

The IS-7 Heavy is based on the Overlord’s Dreadnaught model. Slow and steady, this tank can disable the targeting, firing, and mobility of the M4-U23.

59ST

The Type 59 ST is modeled after the new Titan and acts as a support tank. It’s primary goal is to protect the group by taking care of any additional machines the M4-U23 activates.

Arty

The T92 Arty is a powerful vehicle in the shape of a June Dreadnaught. While doing a large amount of damage, it must first take aim and have assistance from the Firefly before it can really help take down the M4-U23.

Firefly

The T50-2 Firefly holds the aerodynamic form of the aegis. It also has an engine with overheating issues. While the Firefly is quick, it cannot stop moving or it will overheat. It’s main goal is to lock onto the M4-U23 so that the T92 Arty can take aim.

Players will need to work together and utilize the strengths of all vehicles to stop the M4-U23′s destructive rampage.

• Enemies •

M4-U23

While the M4-U23 itself moves toward the chests it will be activating additional vehicles to try and stop anyone in its path.

GiWi

The GiWi Type E’s aren’t to be ignored. These machines will need to be taken down quickly. They’ll be marked on the map so be aware and don’t let them get the jump on you!

T704

T704 Stump’s are powerful combat units that you’ll want to keep your distance from if you’re piloting a more fragile vehicle.

• Prizes •

There are platinum, gold, silver, and bronze medals that will be sent to you in the mail for your participation the battle. These medals can be redeemed for prizes from Sarang Panzer herself, or from Holiday Committee Officials in Novograd and Nezebgrad.

Costume

Prizes include varying amounts of experience, some food and drink, vanity, and a couple of permanent /use items like the Mini M4-U23 and the M4-U23 Projection. These prizes are bound, so you’ll need to work hard if you want to show off your Summerhold rewards!

We hope you enjoyed this preview of Summerhold and look forward to enjoying this new skirmish. We’ll see you on October 30th when the servers come up with Patch 3.05!
